WILLIAM JACK DEMPSEY has practiced real estate and land use law in the Naples area since 1999. He is board certified as a specialist in Real Estate Law by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education. Mr. Dempsey graduated cum laude from the University of South Florida in 1993 with a degree in English and American Literature before earning his law degree cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 1998. While at Stetson, Mr. Dempsey served as Notes and Comments Editor for the Stetson Law Review and earned the Elizabeth M. Leeman Award for his publication of Lawyer v. Department of Justice: Florida's Dance with the Districting Demon (Fall 1998). He also served as a judicial intern to Chief Judge Elizabeth Kovachevich of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and as chief editor for George Rahdert's Manual of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Manual of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. After obtaining his law degree, Mr. Dempsey became a member of The Florida Bar and the Collier County Bar Association, and was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He has also served as judicial clerk to Judge James C. Dauksch at the Fifth District Court of Appeal and has practiced real estate law in Naples since 1999. Mr. Dempsey is currently involved in the community as a member of the Historical and Archeological Preservation Advisory Board to the Board of County Commissioners. |
