With a special interest in challenging, unique and complex cases, the attorneys in the Litigation, Trial Practice and Dispute Resolution Department handle virtually all types of civil disputes. They seek to develop creative and effective strategies to achieve each client’s objectives through negotiation, arbitration or trial, and they strive to combine prudent business counsel with zealous advocacy. Two of the lawyers in the Department are Board Certified by The Florida Bar as specialists in Civil Trial Law; two are Board Certified as specialists in Business Litigation Law; one is Board Certified as a specialist in City, County and Local Government Law; one is Board Certified as a specialist in Construction Law, and one is Board Certified as a specialist in Appellate Practice. The head of the Department, Ed Cheffy, is a Fellow in both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
